Booking bicycle transport online

• Where do I indicate that I will be travelling with a bicycle?

  When you enter the "From/To" information, a box appears in which you can see who (or what) you want to book a ticket for. Clicking in the box opens an input form where you can add more people, children, dogs or even bicycles.

• How can you add a filter so that only journeys on which a bicycle can be taken?

  Various connections will appear once you have entered your "From/To" information. If you click on the filter icon in the top right-hand corner, you can select the "Travel with a bike" option and will only be shown journeys on which you can take a bicycle on the train.

• Is there a designated parking space for my bicycle?

  Railjet, Intercity, Eurocity and Euronight trains have dedicated parking spaces for bicycles. By making a reservation, you are guaranteed a parking space for your bicycle. If the spaces on a long-distance train are already fully booked, you will not be offered a ticket. This means that overbooking is impossible.

  You are welcome to take your bike with you on regional trains (Regionalzug), regional express trains (Regionalexpress) and commuter S-Bahn trains if there are enough free spaces. However, you cannot reserve a space for your bike on these trains.

• What is the bicycle zone?

  The bicycle zone is located in 2nd class on ÖBB Railjet trains. This includes the bicycle compartment with parking spaces, as well as eight designated seats in the immediate vicinity of the bicycle parking spaces, meaning you can always keep an eye on your bicycle from there.
