The ÖBB Account enables faster ticket bookings, secure storage of your Vorteilscard, and collecting Vorzugspunkte on every journey. An account can be created free of charge in just a few minutes and makes every subsequent booking easier.
These are the benefits of the ÖBB Account
With the ÖBB Account, every booking is faster and all the key details for your journey are bundled in one place. The following features are available:
- Save payment details and vouchers: Save your payment methods and ÖBB vouchers in your account once and save time with every ticket booking.
- Save favourite routes: Pin your personal favourite routes to the app home screen and always stay up to date. Simply click the heart icon. This saves time when booking tickets, and you will always have the latest information on what is happening along the route.
- Save and renew your Vorteilscard: Store the ÖBB Vorteilscard in your account and use the discount with every booking. What’s more, it is very easy to renew the Vorteilscard.
- Add travel companions: Save additional passengers with their names and discount cards, so you can buy tickets for yourself and anyone travelling with you even faster.
- Collect Vorzugspunkte: With every booking via your account, you collect ÖBB Vorzugspunkte and benefit from selected rewards, such as a free seat reservation or a free Vorteilspackerl (lit. ‘advantage pack’) in the on-board restaurant.
- Redeem ÖBB vouchers: ÖBB gift vouchers can be saved in your account and redeemed easily and conveniently.
- Use SimplyGo!: With SimplyGo!, you can travel flexibly and whenever you want on public transport throughout Austria. The function recognises the route travelled and automatically charges the appropriate fare*.
Travel and reserve for less
With the digital Vorteilscard Comfort, regular customers can travel by train at a reduced price for a year and reserve their favourite seat also at a reduced price. Simply save it in your ÖBB Account and the discount will be applied to every booking automatically.
Alternatively, there is the Reservation Benefit: For € 25.90, you get 50% off seat reservations for three months. With a valid Vorteilscard or a KlimaTicket Ö, the Reservation Benefit costs only € 20.90.
