Do I need an ÖBB Account in order to participate?
An ÖBB Account is required to collect Vorzugspunkte as only bookings that are made when logged into an ÖBB Account can be taken into consideration when calculating Vorzugspunkte.

How can I participate?
An ÖBB Account is required to register for ÖBB Vorzugspunkte. Use the login details of your ÖBB Account to log in to the Vorzugspunkte Board and accept the conditions of participation on the first occasion.

How do I collect Vorzugspunkte?
After registering for ÖBB Vorzugspunkte, you can earn Vorzugspunkte on eligible bookings made while logged into your ÖBB Account. To see which products qualify for Vorzugspunkte, click on the question "For which products do I receive Vorzugspunkte?".

For which products do I receive Vorzugspunkte?
After logging in, you can collect Vorzugspunkte with bookings that you make when logged into your ÖBB Account. The products on which you can earn Vorzugspunkte may vary depending on the reward round.
In the current round of rewards, you will receive Vorzugspunkte for the following offerings if you book them while logged into your ÖBB Account:
- Sparschiene tickets (incl. Sparschiene Komfort)
- Standard tickets on local and long-distance services (incl. urban journeys)
- Network tickets for single trips (incl. urban journeys)
- Upgrades to standard tickets (1st Class, Business Class)
- Seat reservations on daytime services
- Seat, couchette and sleeping coach reservations on overnight services
- Season tickets (x number of hours, weeks, monthly tickets, junior tickets, semester tickets, etc.) for domestic journeys and which are valid for less than one year
- Season tickets and passes which may be used internationally and that are valid for less than 3 days (or 72 hours)

Purchases of the following are excluded:
- Vorteilscards, KlimaTickets Ö and regional, 1st class upgrades to a Klimaticket Ö, stripe tickets or other multi-journey tickets, as well as all other products with a validity of one year or more
- International passes such as the Interrail Pass as well as all other tickets, discount cards or reservations that are partially international and valid for 3 days (=72 hours) or longer
- Vouchers and voucher packages
- Rail Inclusive Tours
- Special services and charges (such as dispatch by post, service charges, penalty fares, issuance of replacements)
- All other products that are not listed above.

How many Vorzugspunkte will I receive for my purchase?
You will receive one Vorzugspunkt for every full euro spent per ticket. Further information on special promotions can be found in the "Information on the current rewards round".

I bought a Vorteilscard and did not receive any Vorzugspunkte for it. Why?
You will not receive any Vorzugspunkte for purchasing a Vorteilscard. You can find a detailed list of eligible products under "For which products do I receive Vorzugspunkte?".

If I receive a discount on a ticket, do I only receive Vorzugspunkte for the reduced price?
Yes, you only receive Vorzugspunkte for the reduced price.

Do I receive Vorzugspunkte if I use a voucher as payment?
Vouchers are considered a means of payment. If the total or a partial amount is paid by redeeming a voucher, you will collect one Vorzugspunkt for every full euro spent per ticket.

If I use my ÖBB Account to book a ticket for another person, do I still get Vorzugspunkte?
The Vorzugspunkte are credited to the ÖBB Account that was used to make the booking.

For how long are my Vorzugspunkte valid?
Vorzugspunkte are valid for at least 3 years. If you do not make another booking within 3 years of your last booking of a bonus-eligible ticket, all Vorzugspunkte collected up to that point will expire. Vorzugspunkte can be used across several reward cycles.

When will my Vorzugspunkte be credited?
Vorzugspunkte are not credited at the time of purchase or booking but within 5 days after the ticket expires or once the journey has commenced.
Example: If you buy a ticket today for a journey in 14 days time, your Vorzugspunkte will be credited to you within 19 days at the latest. If you buy a season ticket valid for one month, the Vorzugspunkte will be credited no later than 5 days after the end of the one-month period of validity. You can find an overview of the Vorzugspunkte for bookings that you have already made but have not yet been credited in the points overview under "Pending".

You can view your current points balance at any time directly in your Vorzugspunkte Board.

What information is available on the Vorzugspunkte Board?
The Vorzugspunkte Board provides you with a comprehensive overview of your participation in ÖBB Vorzugspunkte. There you can see your current loyalty point status, an overview of the rewards you have already received or are due to receive, your booking history with ally credited and pending Vorzugspunkte, as well as a list of all bookings cancelled by you for which no Vorzugspunkte have been credited.

Overview of Vorzugspunkte: What is the difference between "Credited" and "Pending" for my Vorzugspunkte?
In your Vorzugspunkte Board you will find an overview of your "credited" and "pending" Vorzugspunkte. "Credited" shows all Vorzugspunkte you have already been awarded and are reflected in your total points balance. "Pending" includes all Vorzugspunkte earned from bookings made while logged in but will be credited later (either after the ticket’s validity period has expired or once the journey has been completed).

How long does it take for Vorzugspunkte to be displayed on my Vorzugspunkte Board?
It can take up to 3 days after your purchase for your Vorzugspunkte to be displayed. These points are initially displayed as "pending". Five days after the ticket expires or when the journey has been completed, the points will be displayed as "credited".

How do I receive my rewards?
As soon as you have collected the required Vorzugspunkte, your rewards will be automatically activated. ÖBB rewards can be seen directly in your ÖBB Account, rewards from our partners are displayed on your Vorzugspunkte Board.
Please note that it may take a few days for the rewards to be activated.

How or where can I redeem my rewards?
If the rewards are ÖBB rewards, you can redeem them directly in your ÖBB Account in accordance with the redemption conditions. The redemption conditions for rewards from our partners can be found on the Vorzugspunkte Board or in the information on the current rewards cycle.

Can I use the ÖBB Lounge with my KlimaTicket Ö and my lounge access bonus?
Yes. If you have achieved Goldschiene status as an ÖBB Vorzugspunkte member and thus received the lounge access bonus, you can redeem it as follows: The bonus can be redeemed at the ÖBB counter or directly with ÖBB employees in the ÖBB lounges. To do so, present your currently valid KlimaTicket Ö and proof of Goldschiene status - simply log in to the Vorzugspunkte board at oebb.at/vorzugspunkte.

How can I achieve Goldschiene Status?
To achieve Goldschiene Status, you must have collected 800 ÖBB Vorzugspunkte within a calendar year. If you have a 1st class upgrade to KlimaTicket Ö and have validated it in your ÖBB Konto, you will automatically receive Goldschiene Status.

What happens if I don't manage to achieve or extend Goldschiene Status again?
If you have not collected 800 Vorzugspunkte again within a calendar year, the status will expire at the end of the status period. However, you can collect 800 Vorzugspunkte again at any time and regain Goldschiene Status at a later date.

How can I earn Vorzugspunkte as a KlimaTicket Ö customer?
In the current round of rewards, you will collect double Vorzugspunkte if you have a valid KlimaTicket Ö attached to your ÖBB account at the time of booking. This means that for every full euro spent per ticket, for example for seat reservations or upgrades, you will receive two Vorzugspunkte.
Additionally, customers with a valid KlimaTicket Ö linked to their ÖBB account have the opportunity to earn points by recording their journeys with SimplyGo!. Points are calculated and credited based on the regular 2nd class ticket price for the distance travelled. Journeys recorded with SimplyGo! using a linked KlimaTicket Ö are not awarded double points, as no extra purchase is made. Only the first 2 recorded journeys of each day will be considered.

Why do I need to add a credit card if I am not paying for my journeys?
Don't worry: if a valid KlimaTicket Ö is added, nothing will be charged when using SimplyGo!.
Saving a payment method is nevertheless required, even if no costs are incurred. This is the only way to ensure the functionality of SimplyGo! beyond the validity period of your current KlimaTicket Ö.

Can I also collect double points for journeys with SimplyGo!?
No. As this is an additional offer for collecting points within the Vorzugspunkte program, these points will not be credited double. The points are calculated based on the regular 2nd class ticket price and credited according to the logic set out in section 4.3.2. of the terms and conditions. My journey was not recognised, how can I still receive my Vorzugspunkte?
If you notice that your journey with SimplyGo! was not recorded, please contact ÖBB Customer Service via the contact form within 3 months after recording the journey. You are not entitled to a points credit for journeys recorded with SimplyGo! if the journey has not been recognised and cannot be verified by customer service.

My journey was recorded incorrectly, how can I have this corrected so that my Vorzugspunkte are credited correctly?
Problems with journey detection (e.g. due to poor location data) may lead to calculation errors. Please contact ÖBB Customer Service via the contact form within 3 months after recording the journey. You are not entitled to a specific number of points for trips recorded with SimplyGo! if the trip we identify differs from the information provided by the customer.

I recorded more than 2 journeys in one day with SimplyGo!, why didn't I receive Vorzugspunkte for all of them?
In the current round of rewards, a maximum of 2 journeys per day are credited. Only the first 2 recorded journeys per day are considered, regardless of route, ticket type, or regular ticket price. A journey is allocated to a day (00:00 to 24:00) if the checkout takes place within that period.

You will receive Vorzugspunkte for the purchase of the Summer 2025 1st Class Upgrade. The Vorzugspunkte will be credited after the ticket expires.

No, this product does not automatically grant you Goldschiene status. However, you will receive Vorzugspunkte for the purchase - for every 800 points credited within a calendar year, you will receive Goldschiene status.
