An Interrail GLOBAL Pass can be used for limited free travel in the country of residence. It is valid for two journeys in this country (provided it is a member of the Interrail Community). These journeys are for departure and return:
The departure may be used from any starting point in the country of residence to a border (border crossing) or to an airport of the country of residence.
The return journey can be used from any border (border crossing) or from an airport of the country of residence to any final destination in the country of residence.
The traveller is allowed to use multiple trains, provided the journey is carried out within one day. Special conditions for night trains may apply.
Every adult (with an Interrail "Adult Pass") is entitled to claim a free Interrail "Child Pass" for a maximum of two children under 12 years of age. Free Interrail passes must be carried during the journey.
Many Interrail partners offer discounts to Interrail pass holders and as well free services in certain cases, for example for ferry connections, city tours and hotels.
