ÖBB connects the Slovakian city directly with Vienna and offers a particularly easy journey. REX trains (regional express) run twice an hour to Bratislava and take you to your destination in just one hour. You can choose whether a connection to Bratislava Hlavná Stanica main station or Bratislava Petržalka station in the southern part of the city is more convenient for you.

The ticket is valid for all cross-border local transport and allows you to travel from Vienna to Bratislava and back. For commuters and students, weekly and monthly tickets are also available, allowing you to travel to and from Bratislava as often as you like during the booked period.

The Bratislava Ticket offers you an additional bonus: on the first day of validity, the Bratislava Ticket also serves as a day ticket for public transport in Bratislava, allowing you to explore the city with ease. You can easily reach the old town from the main station: either by bus or tram. For example, bus line 93 takes you directly to the Presidential Palace (to Hodzovo nam) or to the Zochova stop, from where you can walk directly to the centre in just a few minutes. Alternatively, tram line 1 takes you to the palace (to Postová) or offers several stops along the pedestrian zone in the old town. You can also easily reach the city centre from Petržalka station by bus with lines 93 and 94 (to the Zochova stop).

Sights in Bratislava

Nestled between the Danube and rolling hills, Bratislava is a wonderful place to stroll, and you can discover many of the top sights on foot: historic buildings, charming squares and winding streets invite you to explore. In the old town, colourful facades and the impressive presidential palace are fascinating. Numerous churches and museums allow you to immerse yourself in the culture and way of life of Bratislava and learn more about the city. The historic castle, the most famous landmark of the Slovak capital, towers above the city centre. Inside, you can gain an insight into the history of the city, while outside, the baroque gardens invite you to stroll and picnic and offer a wonderful view of the city. The UFO observation tower also attracts visitors with its impressive view over the Danube.
