On Railnet, ÖBB’s Onbord Portal, you have access to information about your journey, practical services, as well as exciting entertainment content, all available for free. You can use these on your own device.
ÖBB’s Onbord Portal is available on all trains equipped with free on-board WiFi. Much of the content is already pre-loaded “on-board” and can therefore be used without any buffering, even in areas with limited mobile phone reception.
In addition to the travel preview and live map view, you also have access to digital services such as reporting issues at your seat or on-board the train. You can also enjoy the best entertainment with over 150 digital newspapers and magazines, a changing selection of films, series, and documentaries, selected content from ORF TV-Thek, children’s entertainment, our exciting audio guide for the Semmering Railway, and much more.
The content of the Onbord Portal may vary slightly depending on the train and the duration of the journey.
- ÖBB Railjet: on Railnet, there is a wide selection of content available to make longer journeys interesting and comfortable.
- ÖBB Cityjet: Railnet regio is designed to meet the needs of shorter journeys.
- ÖBB Nightjet: the new generation of Nightjets will also feature Railnet night as an Onbord Portal.

- Food & Beverages*: Here you have the opportunity to order food and drinks online from the Bordrestaurant - including direct service to your seat in First Class
- Quiet zone*: Is the quiet zone not living up to its name? In that case, you have the option to report this to our train team using this tool.
- Game tokens*: There are a total of five tables in each ÖBB Railjet that are laminated with board games. You can conveniently order the game tokens for these from the train team through the Onbord Portal Railnet.
- Report defect*: If something at your seat or on-board the train isn’t working as you are accustomed to - you can inform us here about any defects.
