From 10–13 September 2026 the Take The A-Train Festival once again transforms Salzburg's Elisabeth-Vorstadt district around the main railway station into a vibrant meeting point for music lovers. With more than 30 events across unique venues, the festival invites visitors to discover international artists, exciting Austrian acts, concerts, performances, club nights, film screenings and community-based events.
The festival unfolds across a variety of locations surrounding Salzburg's main station – from Jazzit and the rooftop venues of the ARTE Hotel to intimate concert spaces throughout the Elisabeth-Vorstadt. This year's programme features international artists such as Matthew Herbert, Joe Armon-Jones, Alfa Mist and The Necks, alongside outstanding Austrian musicians including Exit Void, the new ensemble led by Soap&Skin mastermind Anja Plaschg.
The festival traditionally concludes with its Sunrise Concert at Tanzschule Seifert. This year, The Necks will provide a memorable finale, bringing four days of music and shared experiences to a close.
