A new fast connection with the Cityjet Xpress 9 (CJX9) has been introduced in the eastern region with 10.12.2023: the train connects Vienna with Baden, Wiener Neustadt, Neunkirchen, Ternitz, Gloggitz, and Payerbach-Reichenau. During rush hour on weekdays, the CJX9 even operates every half hour.
The travel time from Vienna Meidling is 12 minutes to Baden and 25 minutes to Wiener Neustadt.
In the city or elsewhere in the country, a speedy journey is guaranteed.
The new connection for commuters and leisure travellers is the perfect alternative to the Railjet, offering a quick journey to Vienna City Centre or to the south of Lower Austria without having to change trains. In addition to the quick journey time, the Cityjet particularly impresses with its barrier-free low-floor entrances and spacious storage areas for bicycles and pushchairs, among other things.
