Experience Austria's most popular equestrian trade fair with a new concept and numerous premieres, such as themed worlds around stable technology, equine husbandry and care, the Shopping Plaza, Western Horse Show competitions including the premiere of the Federal Provinces Team Championship (Bundesländermannschaftsmeisterschaft – BLMM), the first Working Equitation tournament as part of PFERD Wels, top-class breeding and sales shows, four extraordinary at "NIGHT OF THE HORSES - It's magic!" shows, featuring numerous stars and much more!
PFERD Wels will be held for the first time at the Messegelände West showground from 29 May to 1 June 2025. With the relocation to Hall 20 A-F, Show Hall 19 and the outdoor area, the event is sure to impress you with its innovative trade fair concept and high-quality infrastructure. The new trade fair concept of PFERD Wels is more than just an exhibition – it’s a holistic experience that invites visitors to explore everything to do with the world of horses. From planning your stable to all the accessories you need – all relevant topics will be presented, step by step, in the various themed worlds.
In the Stable (Technology) World of Experience, for example, you’ll find everything you need for keeping horses, from stalls and stables to irrigation technology, lighting and wellness facilities. The Shopping Plaza offers visitors a high-quality shopping experience with a large selection of riding equipment and accessories for horse and rider. Westerntown is located in the immediate vicinity of the venue for the Western Horse Show Wels – the main event for Western riding enthusiasts. CNS competitions for all breeds, AQHA two-point competitions and, for the first time, the Federal Provinces Team Championship (Bundesländermannschaftsmeisterschaft - BLMM) will be held here.
Premiere: feeding, care and medical aspects will take centre stage in the horse welfare section. Experts will be on hand to provide valuable tips on optimal equine husbandry and health. The "Training and Development" area focuses on effective methods and techniques for humans and animals.
Sales and breeding shows: over 500 horses of various breeds are presented in sport, breeding and show events. The AWÖ sales shows also offer an ideal platform for anyone looking to buy their own horse. For the third time running, a selected collection of show jumping and dressage horses from renowned local breeders will be presented at the A-Sales and the A-Youngster Sales. The "Best of Austria" ponies will also be presented.
FOUR "NIGHT OF THE HORSES – It's magic!” SHOWS: an unforgettable experience that enchants visitors, transporting them to a fascinating world, full of magic and equestrian dreams. The highlight of the show is the appearance of horse trainer, Kenzie Dysli, who worked with her two horses in the film "Ostwind", together with her partner, the famous French show rider, Laury Tisseur. The performances of the CAVAL Show are another highlight. The sensational show troupe from France, led by Charly and Benoit Soumille, will once again thrill the audience with breathtaking stunt acrobatics, liberty dressage and a dash of explosive humour in the "Night of the Horses” show. The pony show team from the Fohlenhof Farbenfroh foal centre in the Allgäu mountain range will also be there to put a smile on your lips. True to the slogan "Small but mighty!" they effortlessly outshine the "big ones" in their performances. In the shows, the Lambach horse farmers and their Noriker horses demonstrate what they’re made of, in keeping with the slogan in Austrian dialect "Österreich, do kumm i her” which means something like “Austria, that’s where I’m from”.
