From 16 to 22 August 2021 the 41. Jazzfestival Saalfelden with over 60 concerts over seven days takes place!
With the Mainstage, the main stage of our festival, the stage that is especially dedicated to international formations returns this year, such as Marc Ribot, among others, who brings his US band Ceramic Dog with him. The infamous Shortcuts at Kunsthaus Nexus are also back this year. With guided hikes and a bike tour to concerts on the mountains, the audience has the possibility to explore and experience the beautiful surroundings of Saalfelden and Leogang even more intensively throughout the week.
The NEXUS+ series also offers free concerts every evening from Monday onwards. You can look forward to David Helbock, the Richard Koch Quartet, Clemens Wenger or Katharina Ernst. From Thursday, Buchbinderei Fuchs will once again be a spontaneous meeting place for improvising musicians. The Stadtpark even be roofed over this year - this location will once again be a meeting place for international and local audiences beginning on Thursday. A new venue is an empty construction hall from the 1950s, the Otto-Gruber-Halle.
Over 40 concerts will take place with free admission. For all other concerts we have the following recommendation for you:
