The Network Statement (NWS) is
published by ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG and gives an overview on the
conditions of use of the network operated by ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG.
It details the general rules, terms, procedures and criteria governing
compensation and capacity allocation. The NWS also contains information required
to submit applications for the allocation of train path capacities.
Pursuant to § 59 of the Federal Railways Act EisbG of 1957, the NWS represents
the instrument required by Community law, i.e. paragraph 3 of the Directive
2001/14/EC, to ensure non-discriminatory access conditions to the railway
undertakings.
