Mandate Connection of international traffic flows with the rail network of ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG.
Objective
Boosting the attractiveness of the international rail corridors crossing Austria – reduction of the risk of bypassing the ÖBB rail network.
Tasks
The tasks of corridor management are:
• harmonisation of international processes – e.g. in the timetable area, in capacity management or concerning the handling of the required border procedures
• processing of international projects – such as the preparation of corridor-related international network access descriptions, product catalogues and other information brochures, establishment of corridor-related One Stop Shops (OSS)
• active marketing of the respective corridor
• application of lobbying measures in international bodies as well as associations

active corridor management within the framework of the RailNetEurope (RNE), in particular at the Baltic-Adriatic Corridor (RNE Corridor 7), and the Brenner Corridor (RNE Corridor 4) as well as at the Danube Corridor (RNE Corridor 9) -
Verein Korridor X PLUS
Active corridor management at the Pan European Corridor X within the framework of the ARGE Korridor X. -
Pan-Europäischen Korridore
collaboration in corridor management in the steering committees of the Pan-European Corridors IV, V, VI, VII and X with the Transport Ministries of the concerned states -
UNECE
collaboration in corridor management within the UNECE-TER (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe – Trans European Railways) with headquarters in Geneva and Bratislava
