The mumok has the largest collection of modern and contemporary art in Central Europe. It makes the international and Austrian avant-garde in its various facets accessible to all those interested in art. The striking dark grey basalt cube in the middle of the MuseumsQuartier Wien houses an extraordinary collection of major works ranging from classical Modernism, Pop Art, Fluxus and Viennese Actionism to current film and media art.
