Europe premiere in Salzburg: BODY WORLDS - The Pulse of Time
In "BODY WORLDS - The Pulse of Time", exhibition organiser Dr. Angelina Whalley presents the many aspects of the human body, illustrating its vulnerability and potential in the face of the challenges it faces in the 21st century. "The exhibition is intended to invite the visitor to critically examine the constant overstimulation of modern life and its long-term effects on body and mind. I want to encourage visitors to become aware of their responsibility for their own health," says Dr. Angelina Whalley. In addition to explanations on nutrition, exercise and strengthening the immune system, the exhibition will show how a healthy long life can be achieved in the 21st century.
BODY WORLDS is an exhibition that changes the way we look at ourselves and our way of life. More than 50 million people worldwide have already embarked on this journey of self-discovery. Starting with the human skeleton, the interaction of the musculature and development in the womb, the visitor gets a detailed picture of the structure of their inner life. Fascinating specimens are used to explain organ functions and common diseases in a way that is understandable to everyone. Around 200 exhibits are on display in Salzburg, including 20 full body exhibits as well as partial plastinates, transparent body slices and individual organs.
