Take the train to the animal kingdom to the west of Lower Austria. The nature-oriented 33 hectare Zoo Stadt Haag is home to around 70 native and exotic animal species and almost 700 animals in total. Wander along the beautifully landscaped footpaths and observe the animals in their natural habitats, or simply unwind, relax and soak up the natural environment with all your senses and learn all about the animals.
Our amazing animal world along the cat of prey trail is waiting to be discovered. Meet the big cats of prey, such as leopards, pumas, tigers, and lions, as well as their smaller relative, the lynx, up close and personal. Follow the entertaining antics of the meerkats in a newly created facility, typical of an African environment, which is one of the largest in Europe. The activities of the baboons can also be observed from a visitor's terrace. Discover the fascination of animals from all continents, from alpaca, alpine ibex, and brown bear to kangaroo, miniature donkey and zebra.
The Zoo Stadt Haag, a member of Lower Austria's top excursion destinations and Austria's top zoos, is one of the most family-friendly excursion destinations. A special highlight for children: The large “Erlebniswelt” adventure world playground has a wide variety of play and activity stations to make every visit to the Zoo Stadt Haag a memorable experience.
