Graz

Graz is the second largest city of Austria and is located in the center of Styria. It is the capital of Styria and impresses for example with its beautiful old town, which is a world cultural heritage since 1999, and many more. The Schlossberg, the famous art house, the Island in the Mur, the Zeughaus or the castle of Eggenberg are only a few places worth seeing in this city.

Murtal

The Murtal is characterized by mountain ranges and a beautiful landscape that invites to relax. But there is much to see, like the Sternenturm in Judenburg, the VW-Käfer museum in Gaal and the Aqualux-Therme in Fohnsdorf. Southern Styria

Southern Styria is regarded as one of the most versatile regions in Styria. The landscape is characterized by vineyards, pumpkin fields and alp meadows and invites for both, hiking and cycling. Southern Styria is especially famous for its various Buschenschänke (wine taverns) that feed every visitor. Particularly popular is the South Styria Wine Road: Many paths lead through vineyards and invite to rest and relax.

Thermen- and Vulkanland

In the east of Styria you can find the Thermen- and Vulkanland. There are many thermal baths with its hot springs, like the thermal bath Blumau, whom people assign healing powers to. But the region has as well culinary to offer: Visitors can try the famous pumpkin seed oil and the Vulcano ham. In the surrounding are many paths for hiking and cycling accompanied by a wonderful scenery to recharge your batteries fully.

Schladming-Dachstein

The area of Schladming-Dachstein lies between the Dachstein and the Schladminger Tauern in Upper Ennstal. The landscape is characterized by mountain ranges, lakes and woods. Especially famous is the Hohe Dachstein, with 2.995 meters of height the highest mountain in Styria. It provides a popular destination with the Dachsteingletscherbahn, the Dachstein Sky Walk, the Eispalast and the stair into nowhere.

Upper Styria

To Upper Styria belong the districts of Bruck a. d. Mur, Mürzzuschlag, Leoben and parts of Liezen. Upper Styria is located in the north-east of Styria. The region offers multiple destinations and is particularly popular for its unspoiled nature. Upper Styria is characterized by mountain ranges, woods and lakes and attracts hikers, cyclists and nature lovers equally. The visitor also awaits cultural highlights such as the castle of Oberkapfenberg, the Semmeringbahn or the Hochschwab alpacas in Thörl.
