For women starting from 60 and for men starting from 65 years, there is the VORTEILScard Senior. It costs 26,90 EUR and is valid for one year starting from its issuance. Senior citizens, who e.g. receive a compensation allowance [Ausgleichszulage] or a supplementary allowance [Ergänzungszulage], have the possibility to get the VORTEILScard free of charge. Validity five years.
You can get up to 50 per cent reductions on all trains of ÖBB as well as on many private railways, with the exception of rack and pinion railways and special services, on the ÖBB-Postbus and on buses of many Transport Associations.
