Travel and Cancellation Insurance

Together with Europäische Reiseversicherung (a company of the Generali Group) we offer our customers tailor made insurance packages.

Insurance package for VORTEILScard holders:
20,- Euro (36,- Euro for families) for every journey up to a maximum of two months within Europe.

ÖBB travel safety package:
If you do not have a VORTEILScard: starting from € 11.50 (€ 20.90 for families) for a journey of up to two months within Europe. Prerequisite for the insurance cover is that you use an ÖBB service for at least a part of your journey.

Benefits include:
Refund of cancellation fees for ÖBB tickets, additional costs for overnight stays and meals when a booked connecting transport service is missed due to train delay, baggage insurance for hand baggage in the compartment, rebooking and rescue costs following an accident, repatriation costs with ambulance jet and many other things….

Baggage insurance:
If you use our service Haus-Haus-Gepäck Plus, every piece of luggage is insured for the amount of 800,- Euro.
Insurance underwriter for the Haus-Haus-Gepäck Plus insurance package is UNIQA.

The cancellation insurance of Europäische Reiseversicherung protects you from costs incurred by having to cancel or abort your journey.

The insurance premium is calculated on the basis of the price of the booked journey. You cannot only take out cancellation insurance for your train journey, but also for all-inclusive packages or individual services such as flights, hotel rooms, holiday flats etc.

The benefits:

• If you have to cancel your trip:
  refund of cancellation fees if you cannot go on your trip: up to the selected travel price
• If you have to abort your trip:
  refund of the booked and unused travel service: up to the selected travel price
• Additional costs for the return trip:
  up to the selected travel price
