Path Ordering Process

Network Access offers the following path ordering options:

  • Online via the M-AMA System (Modulares Auftragsmanagement)
  • via the M-AMA System data interface
  • System PCS (Path Coordination System - formerly Pathfinder) - ordering international train paths via RailNetEurope (RNE)

Main Order:

It is recommended to notify changes to regular interval services if possible by 1st December 2016.

It is recommended to notify train path orders if possible by 1st March 2017.

Notification of changes to regular traffic 10th April 2017
Path orders for regular timetable changes 10th April 2017
Path orders for single paths 10th April 2017

The submission of quotations takes place up to 3rd July 2017 (= publishing the draft timetable) and start of consultation in accordance with the Railway Act EisbG of 1957 Paragraph 65 (8) from 2nd July 2017.

Possibility for applicants whose wishes are not fulfilled by draft timetable to comment by 4th August 2017 (= end of consultation/comments period in accordance with the Railway Act EisbG of 1957 Paragraph 65 (8)).

Train path offers to customers, check and decision by customers, start of rain path allocation from 21st August 2017.

Note for the Main Order of the following Network Timetable:
It is recommended to notify changes to regular interval services if possible by 1st December 2017.

Ordering deadlines for traffic in the running timetable as regards changes to the network timetable by Timetable Change Request:
(essentially applicable on a monthly cycle respectively from the first Monday every month if this is a working day):

The change book is produced monthly and comes into force on the change dates whose ordering deadlines can be found in the download area on the right hand side (see "Modification Deadlines")

Ordering deadlines for deviations at interim traffic in succession of Infrastructure restrictions 

  • RU and Network Access agree to the special conditions for traffic due to the planned infrastructure restrictions by 6 weeks before starting.

  • In the event of non-timely notification of  RU by IM as an exception this deadline could fall below

Ordering deadlines for unforeseen route closures

  • Diversion orders for traffic after unforeseen route closures for the current day and for a maximum of  the next three Network Access Dept. office days*)
  • Ordering from the responsible Regional Traffic Control (Betriebsführungszentrale - BFZ)
  • Diversion orders for traffic after unforeseen route closures from the fourth Network Access Dept. office day *)
    • Orders to Network Access (Availability Management - Construction Site Timetable Office)

Ordering Deadlines for ad-hoc traffic (VA 722.41)

  • Orders for traffic for the same day
    • Ordering from the responsible Regional Traffic Control (Betriebsführungszentrale - BFZ)
  • Orders later than 3 p.m. for traffic within midnight of the next Network Access Dept. office  day *)
    • Ordering from the responsible Regional Traffic Control (Betriebsführungszentrale - BFZ)
  • For traffic from the next day during Network Access Dept. office  day *)
    • Orders to Network Access (Availability Management - Interim Timetable Office)

Office hours at Network Access are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:00 with the exception of public holidays and 24th and 31st December.
