ÖBB operates 6 S-Bahn lines in Tyrol

Line S1

  • Kufstein - Telfs 
    On the entire route between Kufstein and Telfs, the S1 runs at hourly intervals every day.

Line S2

  • Ötztal - Jenbach 
    On working days, the S2 operates on the entire route between Ötztal and Jenbach at hourly intervals. In combination with the S1, this results in half-hourly intervals along the Inn Valley between Telfs-Pfaffenhofen and Jenbach.

Line S3

  • Hall - Steinach am Brenner 
    From Monday through Friday, the S3 operates at hourly intervals on the entire route between Hall and Steinach am Brenner. On Saturday and Sunday between Innsbruck and Steinach.

Line S4

  • Innsbruck - Brenner 
    On the entire route between Innsbruck and Brenner, the S4 runs at hourly intervals every day.

Line S5

  • Innsbruck - Scharnitz 
    The S5 operates at hourly intervals between Innsbruck and Scharnitz daily, and at half-hour intervals during rush hours on working days.

Line S6

  • Wörgl - Hochfilzen 
    The S6 operates on the entire route between Wörgl and Hochfilzen at hourly intervals on working days and at two-hour intervals on the weekend.

Please note that on ÖBB local trains (these are trains designated as S-Bahn, R or REX) you are required to have a valid ticket prior to boarding the train. The only exceptions are boarding stations where it is not possible to purchase a ticket.

Zillertalbahn, Achenseebahn

  • Zillertalbahn, Jenbach - Mayrhofen
    The Zillertalbahn operates daily on the entire route between Jenbach and Mayrhofen at half-hour intervals.

  • Achenseebahn, Jenbach - Seespitz
    During low season (1 May - 29 May and 5 October - 31 October 2015), the Achenseebahn operates at two-hour intervals on the entire route bewteen Jenbach and Seespitz. During high season (30 May through 4 October 2015), the Achenseebahn operates at almost hourly intervals.
