The Radtramper Neusiedler See is a regional train operated by ÖBB, tailored specifically to the individual needs of passengers wishing to take their bicycle along when they travel. It includes at least one "ÖBB Regio-Biking bicycle car" which is easily recognisable with its exterior design featuring summery bicycle motives, located either at the front or at the end of the train. Each bicycle car offers 24 bicycle spaces and 36 seats. This allows passengers to load up their bicycles themselves in the diagonal parking configuration which saves both space and effort, take a seat where they can keep an eye on them, and unload them again at their destination.

From 26 March through 30 October 2016, the "Radtramper Neusiedler See" departs daily from Vienna Main Station at 09:14 a.m., running all the way to Neusiedl am See. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, it even continues directly on to Pamhagen, making further stops at all stations along the route. The return journey to Vienna departs from Neusiedl am See at 08:01 p.m. or, on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, from Pamhagen at 07:18 p.m.

Tickets

If you want to travel with ÖBB and Raaberbahn and take your bicycle along, you will need a valid ticket for yourself, as well as for your bicycle. The tickets are available as single, weekly or monthly tickets. The rates depend on the distance: for the trip from Vienna to Neusiedl am See, for example, a single bicycle ticket costs  2.- euros per direction.

Ticket for you and your bicycle = Einfach-Raus-Radticket

The "Einfach-Raus-Radticket" is a day ticket for the entire network for 2 to a maximum of 5 persons, including bicycles, and is valid on all regional ÖBB trains - i.e. also on the Radtramper Neusiedler See. The price for the Einfach-Raus-Radticket depends on the number of passengers: For groups of 2 persons, for example, the Einfach-Raus-Radticket costs 42.- euros! For each additional passenger, the rate increases by 4.- euros.

Small groups without bicycles are best advised to use the Einfach-Raus-Ticket which costs as little as 33.- euros for two persons. Further information on the Einfach-Raus-(Rad) Ticket.
