VORTEILScard Familie

With the ÖBB VORTEILScard Familie, children up to 14 years (= up to the day before their 15th birthday) can travel free of charge accompanied by their parents. At least one of the parents and one child must travel together. It costs 19,90 Euro and is valid for one year starting from its issuance.
Please note the eligibility conditions.

A discount of up to 50% is granted for all ÖBB trains, as well for many private railways (excluding rack railways and special transport arrangements), the ÖBB Postbus and the busses of many public transport associations. With ÖBB-Postbus, the first two children get 50 % reduction, any other children travel free of charge.
The additional child card [Kinderzusatzkarte] allows your children to travel with ÖBB, even if they are not accompanied by you.

Cooperation partners

Within the scope of the VORTEILScard Familie, ÖBB cooperates with the Departments of Families [Familienreferate] in the federal states of Upper Austria, Lower Austria, Tyrol, Salzburg and Burgenland. Therefore, all VORTEILScard Familie holders with stated residence in one of the above mentioned federal states automatically receive a doubly marked VORTEILScard Familie including the family card of the respective federal state (with the exception of Burgenland). This allows them to take advantage of many benefits offered by the family cards in the respective federal states.
