Now it’s even cheaper to go by train, right across Austria.
Anyone who drives more than 11 km per day by car will now be even better off with the recently reduced ÖSTERREICHcard (yearly network ticket)*.

Adults can travel for a whole year on ÖBB, as far and wide as they want, for just 4.50 Euros per day. And for those under 26 the ÖSTERREICHcard is even less, at only 2.80 Euros per day.

How to get your ÖSTERREICHcard?

Your personal ÖSTERREICHcard can be purchased at any major train station. Simply fill in the appropriate order form and hand it in along with a photo (2 photos required for ÖSTERREICHcard Family; no photo required for blind persons - ÖSTERREICHcard Blind).
You will immediately be issued with a provisionalÖSTERREICHcard, which allows you to take full advantage of all the benefits. Your full ÖSTERREICHcard, in handy credit card format, will be posted to you within 4-6 weeks.
The ÖSTERREICHcard is valid for 12 months from date of purchase and is issued for your own exclusive use and is not transferable.

Upgrading from a VORTEILScard

If you already have an ÖBB VORTEILScard you will receive a credit (repayment) for every unused full month of your pre-paid VORTEILScard.
